1% for the Planet

Since 1985, we have committed 1% of our sales to the preservation and restoration of natural environments. To date, we have dedicated more than $89 million in cash and other forms of support to grassroots environmental groups, both local and international, that are making a significant difference in their communities.

In 2002, Yvon Chouinard, founder of Patagonia, along with the owner of Blue Ribbon Flies, created a non-profit organization to encourage other companies to join this initiative.

1% for the Planet is therefore an alliance of companies that recognize the urgency of protecting the Earth , that understand that their prosperity and risks are directly related to it, and that address the social and environmental impacts of their activities.
