Megamining affects wetlands, destroying the habitat of species that only live in those regions.
Cattle raising
Soybean monoculture in the Pampas has led to the relocation of over 1 million head of cattle to the Delta region, causing a dramatic change in the soil.
Real estate ventures
The constant construction of gated communities in wetlands by filling them in is destroying this ecosystem. This is in addition to the pollution generated by human waste.
