Free Santa Cruz River
The last glacial river that flows freely from the mountain range to the Atlantic Ocean will be interrupted.

Contrary to all the studies and experts consulted, the government is moving forward.
in the construction of two mega-dams on the Santa Cruz River.
Defend it

The Santa Cruz River has a direct link to the Perito Moreno Glacier via Lake Argentino. The rise in the lake's level would accelerate the retreat of this and other glaciers.
The habitat of the hooded grebe, an endemic bird of Southern Patagonia and in danger of extinction, would be disturbed.
It is estimated that its population does not exceed 800 individuals.
The world is moving away from mega-dams, as they represent an obsolete energy source and have a major impact on the environment.

The Santa Cruz River is the last glacial river that flows freely from the mountain range to the sea, providing nutrients to the Argentine Sea and all its species.
Protecting the river means protecting everyone
the species that depend on it, preserve the integrity
of the Perito Moreno glacier, and to bet on a development
sustainable for the province and the country.
