Everything we do has an impact on the planet.

How we are making the change

Environmental responsibility
We have developed environmental responsibility and animal welfare programs to guide how we make our materials and products.

Social responsibility
We ensure that our products are made under safe, fair, legal and humane conditions.

Where we do business
We share information about our facilities and suppliers throughout our supply chain, so you know where and how the clothes you buy are made.
Our progress this season
Our goal is to be carbon neutral by 2025.
100% of our virgin down is certified by the Advanced Global Traceable Down Standard
100% of the electricity consumption in the United States was supplied with renewable electricity
68% of our product line uses recycled materials
83% of our product line is Fair Trade™ certified
66,000 workers receive support through Patagonia's participation in the Fair Trade program
This year we repaired 56,000 garments to keep them in use.
We prevented 35 tons of plastic waste from ending up in the world's oceans by turning fishing nets into visors for our caps.

Why recycled?
Extracting and processing virgin materials has an impact on the land, water, and air. To do our part, we are moving towards the exclusive use of renewable and recycled raw materials.

Why Fair Trade?
Fair Trade is our first step on the path to ensuring living wages in our supply chain.
